Nutrition Clinic

Our Nutrition Clinic is staffed by a Registered Dietitian providing medical nutrition therapy, nutrition and fitness education for active duty, retirees and family members. Both individual appointments and group classes are available for basic nutrition, weight reduction, heart health, hypertension, diabetes, prenatal nutrition and infant feeding. Physician referral required for individual appointments.

No physician referral required for weight management classes.


Fit For Performance (FFP) Weight Loss Program

FFP is a comprehensive program that encourages healthy eating, exercise, sleep, and mindfulness behaviors to assist participants in permanent lifestyle changes promoting weight and/or body fat loss, lower disease risk, and improving medical readiness.
There are five clinician led (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist) group/individual sessions. 
The FFP topics are:
Session #1 - Steps to Weight Loss Success (qualifies as the Soldier's Initial Nutrition Counseling IAW AR 600-9).  This session includes goal setting with Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness (CSF2)
Session #2 - Maximize Your Sleep and Workouts; Performance Nutrition Part I.
This session includes a workout planning with a physical therapist.
Session #3 - Meals in Minutes - taught by Army Wellness Center staff
Session #4 - Creating Supportive Environments, Fueling Your Brain and Body; Performance Nutrition Part II
Session #5 - Psychology of Weight Loss, Conquer Stress Eating and Manage Stress.  This session includes techniques for managing stress by a Licensed Social Worker.
No physician referral required for weight management classes.


Nutrition Counseling

Individual appointments are available for specific nutritional needs or medical conditions by referral from your health care provider.

Commissary Tour

An hour long tour of the Commissary highlighting foods to aim for, foods to avoid, how to eat healthy on a budget, and how to avoid labeling misdirection. No physician consult required.

Performance Nutrition Classes

Individual and group/team nutrition counseling and education to enhance the performance of Soldier Athletes. Whether it’s training for a marathon, the APFT test or weight room gains, getting the proper nutrition is the key to improving your performance.

Community Classes

Registered dietitian available to talk to community groups or events on any nutrition topic desired such as healthy snacks for children, weight management, eating on the go, and quick and healthy cooking demonstrations.
